A new State Fair attendance record: nearly 1.8 million

This proved to be a great year for Minnesota's State Fair. It was another record breaking year. Almost 1.8 Million visitors. The old record was in 2001, however, that number got beat by just over 27,500. Food and drinks took in $25.2 milions. Thats $1.1 million more than last year. This is a good thing that despite the economy, people are still going out to have some fun.

  1. This is fantastic! I went to the fair this year and the article is 100% correct. You could just tell more people were there, nobody could move!
Good job, this is an interesting article!

  2. I heard on the radio there were some reports of people getting swine flu from being at the fair. I didnt go this year but I really wanted to.

  3. I wish I could have made it out to the fair this year, but I had to work and stuff. I guess it is for the best that I didn't make it out there with record breaking numbers! People would have been everywhere. Did you make it out to the fair?

  4. I am sure there are a lot of people that went to the fair this year instead of going on a weekend vacation. I didn't make it there this year and I miss the mini-donuts. I'll have to go next year for sure.

  5. Grade: 8/10
    Mistakes:
    • Sentence fragment: Almost 1.8 million visitors
    • Word capitalized that shouldn't have been: Million
    • Extra s on millions
    • Lack of apostrophe in that's
