This Thursday the new Granite City Crossing Bridge in St. Cloud that goes over the Mississippi River will open after 18 months of construction. The bridge replaces the old Desoto Bridge. Because the bridge got done early, the contractor gets a bonus.
Not too bad of a time frame. It sure did take a lot longer than the Minneapolis bridge though!
